Define the work before choosing a model

Measure how long the current task takes, where errors occur and what improvement would mean. When these questions are unclear, an AI initiative is likely to remain a technology demonstration rather than a better way of working.

Examine data and constraints

AI depends on information that is accessible, useful and appropriate to process. Consider confidentiality, privacy, copyright and the consequences of an incorrect answer before placing AI in an important workflow.

Pilot narrowly and measure honestly

Choose a controlled group and scope, define a comparison with the current method and record failures systematically. The evidence will support a reasoned decision to expand, adjust or stop.
